Brycen received his first "ink" recently. On a beautiful evening when we were playing outside after supper, the Johnson County Sherriff drove down our street. I told Brycen that the sherriff had just passed our house and he grew very excited!
We watched as he drove down the cul-du-sac and stopped by a whole crowd of kids who were laughing and excited. In a few minutes, he went to the end of the road, turned around and started back our direction. We made our way to the end of the driveway and waited for him. I told Brycen that sometimes the sherriff will have a sticker to give good little boys. As he approached, he slowed down and offered a tattoo to Brycen. (Two in fact-lucky for us!)
Brycen was excited and we immediately went inside for bath time. After his bath, we put the tattoo on his arm. It was his first tattoo, so explaining that he could not easily take it off was new. He was so excited to show his new ink off to Jean, Addie, Drew, and Peyton he nearly burst at the seams.
